» Whistler Limo Touring Options - Whistler Limousine Tours
Since 1998, Legacy Limousine Service has been providing Whistler limo tours
to clients en route to North America's #1 ski destination, Whistler
Blackcomb.
Unlike traditional Whistler transportation providers, our Whistler limousine
tour allows you to take the time desired to enjoy the sights while heading
to Whistler. We'll stop as requested to explore local attractions, to
capture regional wildlife on video, to enjoy refreshments while absorbing
the magnificent mountain vistas and air, or simply to stretch your legs.
» Touring Whistler By Limousine - Our Whistler Limo Tour
Our Whistler limousine tour winds its way along the Sea
to Sky Highway from Horseshoe
Bay just past West
Vancouver through Squamish,
then the Garibaldi
Provincial Park, and arriving in Whistler,
British Columbia. And, there are plenty of spectacular sights
to see while en route to Whistler including:
- Whytecliff Marine Park
Minutes fromHorseshoe Bay, Whytecliff Marine Park’s rugged shoreline
and cobble beach became Canada’s first Marine Protected Area. Upwards
of 200 marine animal species, with exotic names such as the speckled
sanddab or the sunflower seastar call these waters home.
- Shannon Falls Provincial Park
North of Lions Bay, visitors will find the park's namesake, BC's third-highest
waterfall. Shannon Falls is a magnificent cascade that drops over 1,000
feet, right above the Sea to Sky Highway. A stop for naturalists during
warmer seasons, Shannon Falls also attracts thrill-seeking ice climbers,
who scale the falls when it freezes in the winter.
- BC Museum of Mining
Located in Britannia Beach, the mine boomed in the late 1920s and early
1930s, becoming the largest producer of copper in the British Empire.
See how the Gold Rush affected the mine's history, view rock and mineral
displays, transportation methods, and artifacts from the past.
- Stawamus Chief Provincial Park
One the largest free-standing granite monoliths in the world, the Chief
is extremely popular amongst rock climbers, and those who look on in
amazement. Estimated at 93 million years old, the Chief is one of the
senior members of the local landscape.
- West Coast Railway Heritage Park
Railroad history is showcased with over 50 vintage railway cars and
locomotives displayed in a setting of unmatched natural beauty. Climb
aboard cabooses and snowplows, view a superbly restored 1890 railway
business car and the only surviving Pacific Great Western steam engine.
- Brackendale Eagle Reserve
About a ½ hour south of Whistler, the Brackendale Eagle Reserve
is home to one of the highest concentrations of bald eagles in the world.
In 1994, an amazing world record was established - 3766 eagles counted
in one day!
And once your Whistler limousine tour has arrived in Whistler Blackcomb, there are so many more things to see and do, including:
- Whistler Blackcomb Mountains
Whistler & Blackcomb Mountains offer unforgettable skiing, snowboarding,
and unlimited winter and summer activities. Located in the Coastal Mountains
of BC, Whistler is approximately 115 kilometres (72 miles) from Vancouver.
There is little need for a car once in Whistler, so the best way to
get there is by bus, limousine or charter plane.
- Whistler Village
Nestled at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains is Whistler's
award-winning pedestrian village. Whistler Village and the adjacent
Upper Village are perfectly situated for easy access to both mountains
and a huge variety of first class restaurants and distinctive shops.
- Whistler Village Art Gallery
The Whistler Village Art Gallery is one of Canada's finest destinations
for art, where contemporary Canadian and International paintings, sculpture
and glass are displayed in an elegant and comfortable setting.
- Whistler Farmers' Market
From June to October, the Whistler Farmers' Market features vendors
that make, bake or grow their wares. The idea is to feature local artisan
talents and farmer produce - whether its vegetables, fruits, flowers,
paintings, craft furniture or wines. Exceptional quality without factory
labels!
- Whistler Museum & Archives
The Whistler Museum & Archives was founded in 1986 as a non-profit organization
for the purpose of collecting, cataloguing and conserving artifacts
and photographs of the pioneer history of the Whistler Valley.
- Whistler Golf & Country Club
Designed by the one of the games' greatest players, Arnold Palmer, the
Whistler Golf & Country Club is oldest golf course in the Whistler
region. Although not the dominating golf course in Whistler, Arnold
Palmer’s Whistler Golf & Country Club is a course you don’t
want to miss!
Travel time from Vancouver's
city center to Whistler Village
is typically about 2½ to 3 hours non-stop depending on traffic
and road conditions. Given the relaxed, comfortable drive our Whistler
limousine tours offer, and the inherent beauty of the environment traveled
through, we imagine there will be stops made during your Whistler limo
tour to take in the surrounding scenery and take advantage of some of
the sights along the way.
Our Whistler limousine tours are usually an all-day affair lasting from
9-12 hours return. Legacy Limousine Service finds it best for you to
contact our Whistler limo tour specialists, let us know what interests
you most about the trip up to Whistler
and Whistler Blackcomb itself, and we'll tailor your Whistler
limo tour around your specific requests.
